Rubén Fuentes Fernández

Holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He is currently Full Professor at this university, where he started to work in 2002. Previously, he worked as consultant in large database systems for the Spanish government and telecommunication and logistics companies.

Rubén is (co-)author of more than 90 papers published in international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He participates actively in international research projects and conferences.

His main research interests are related to the application of Social Sciences in the development of information systems, with particular attention to support socio-technical systems. Related research has included intelligent agents, model-driven engineering of complex collaborative systems, accessibility, e-learning, social agent-based simulation, ambient intelligence, and bioinformatics.
