She holds a PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and a degree in Mathematics (specialty of Statistics) from the Mathematics School in the UCM. She is currently Associate Professor (Profesor Contratado Doctor) of the Department of Statistics and Operations Research I in the Mathematics School of the UCM, where she did her PhD in Bayesian inference, under the direction of Professor Miguel Angel Gómez Villegas. She was awarded with the PhD Prize in 2005. She belongs to the research groups GRASIA (Computer Science School, UCM) and Bayesian Methods (Faculty of Mathematics, UCM )
